It’s Okay…not to be Okay

Day 24 of #30DaysWritingChallenge. No, I haven’t watched the K-Series, where Seo Yea-Ji is in it.

That is one normal feeling, I must say. Even at this point, I have used so much of my normal capacity to write for twenty four days straight. Yes, I’ve never done such thing before. Hell, this has no reward or anything to begin with.

This challenge collides with the start of my thesis, which will take up to seven months to complete, hopefully. Albeit tiring, this challenge actually has helped me so much to get the groove of writing again, even if the purpose of each agenda is different from each other.

I will not write a long entry for this one, just because today’s main theme is similar for the past few days. This pandemic has taught us so much about just carrying on each day without expecting anything spectacular.

I try to be more grateful each day, because I am still able to live my life until now. It’s exhausting to not be able to do anything normal without having to wear a mask outside, because we are so not used to do that. Come to think of it, it’s odd not to wear a mask outside, as if our mechanisms have been tampered due to this pandemic.

As time flies by, I realised the importance of interacting with other people. I took it for granted, just because I wholly enjoyed too much of my alone time, that I almost forgot how to converse with other people. Now, because of the pandemic, the human nature of mine just suddenly comes out, wanting those interactions, even if they are done mostly online nowadays.

We are all exhausted, waiting and expecting this pandemic to be over in the next months or so. But thinking about that only will not solve anything to come through this pandemic. I guess the lessons are:

It’s okay not to be okay in this pandemic,

It’s okay to just do the bare minimum and feel tired at the end of the day,

It’s okay to put your attention solely for your well-being,

and it’s okay for anything, because we are all in this together.

I guess there are too much of movie/series/song references in the last 6–7 sentences. Eh, that’s okay, anyway.
