A Sufficient Support System

We’re on our way to one-third of the challenge. Whoo! From now on, I’ll just make it more brief.

Evaluating friendship as your support system probably would be a good idea. Not by having to weigh every single connection you have to every person you know, but more like reminiscing or appreciating the journey between you and your best mates.

The challenge says to write about my best friend, but I am lucky enough to have more than one. Though I am not going to name them for the sake of their privacy.

You may have one best mate back then during your high school years but now doesn’t have frequent deep conversations like you used to. But at least we’re still on speaking terms (especially when talking about Arsenal) and at least make an effort to spend an hour in a month to have a phone conversation.

I am just more of a listener rather than the one who has something to vent. But every time I came home, we were always trying to catch up, so it’s good that we still have each other’s back.

Another best friend that I haven’t contacted in months is probably having the best time nowadays, judging from the instastories I’ve seen recently. We used to talk a lot about every thing and I always appreciate every help I got. The dynamic we have is more of “good cop-bad cop” (I don’t know if this is the right usage of the particular phrase), where I mostly am the calm one and the other is fiery one.

I kind of miss both of them, but unfortunately I am not the one who can explicitly express my feeling. That’s kind of…odd, ha ha! I am still learning though, so probably if you two read this, I hope both of you are doing well!

Well, I guess I should be ready for the 2nd wave hitting Europe right now. Stay safe and stay healthy, everyone!

The most appropriate phrase I can think of, when it comes to relationships between your best mates.
